Passengers at O’Hare got a good laugh, after a slight scare, when an alligator was found at the airport.
The small gator was roaming around Terminal 3 Friday, when it was spotted by a passenger.
Department of Aviation workers caught it using a broom and dustpan.
Chicago Police eventually handed it over to the Chicago Herpetological Society.
Jason Hood, president of CHS, said in a statement Sunday that the gator was “in poor condition including soft bones, a condition known as Metabolic Bones Disease.”
Hood also said there was no indication how it ended up at O’Hare.
