Four men are behind bars for trying to carjack a Chicago police officer.

Marcus Johnson, Deonta Brown, Michael Jackson, and Rashee Herron are each being held on $450,000 bond.

Police say the men surrounded the off-duty officer’s personal car in an alley on Yates Boulevard Sunday night and told him to get out.

One of the men took out an object that appeared to be a gun.

The driver told them he was an officer and pulled out his gun.

The men took off running but were arrested a short time later.
