Jury selection begins in trial of women beaten in Bucktown

Jury selection began today in the trial of the man accused in the baseball bat beating of two women in Chicago.
The family of the most severely injured victim, Natasha McShane showed up in court at 26th and California this morning. They came all the way from Northern Ireland. McShane was left unable to walk and talk after the attack.
She and a friend, Stacy Jurich, were beaten and robbed on Damen Ave in Bucktown, in 2010.
Lawyers for the defendant Heriberto Viramontes plan to argue that police arrested the wrong man.
