Police are questioning a man in connection with last week’s murder of a woman from Wheaton.

Glen Ellyn police found the body of 33-year-old Linda Valez in Panfish Park on Saturday.

The Daily Herald reports Valez was stabbed 34 times.

She filed for divorce from her husband in July, but he’s already in prison for selling heroin.

Authorities began patrolling the area after Wheaton police reported Valez missing last week.

Officials say they don’t believe the attack was a random act and say there is no evidence the public is in danger.
