No charges in Benedictine sex assault investigation

No criminal charges will be filed after an investigation into claims that two women were sexually assaulted in a dorm at Benedictine University in suburban Lisle.


The two 19-year old women alleged the incident took place in Neuzil Hall on September 14.


DuPage County State’s Attorney spokesman Paul Darrah said in a statement, “After a thorough investigation and review of the evidence, including numerous interviews with the parties involved, we have decided there is insufficient evidence to move forward with charges in the case.”


As many as six male students were interviewed as part of the investigation.
