Crews for the new Transformers movie took over Chicago this weekend.

Filming started in the Loop Saturday morning and wrapped up this evening.

Crews used an exploding fireball and other pyrotechnics to blow up an old building on Damen.

Onlookers could hear periodic explosions and see smoke from a distance during filming.

The filming caused some traffic delays at several locations including 29th and Damen, The Stevenson Expressway and along Ashland Ave.
