Jeannine’s Fall Beauty Tips:
Spending a lot of time outdoors during the summer can wreak havoc on your hair. Fall is the perfect time to get your hair back into shape by trimming off the dry, dead ends and to start using a something that can repair damage from root to tip.
Wearing no makeup worked all summer, but fall is all about a more polished look. That’s where a BB cream is still your best option as it is a multi-functional cream that acts as a foundation, concealer and moisturizer, plus many contain sunscreen which we can’t forget even in the fall. Additionally, now is a good time to toss out your old foundation (which can get contaminated by bacteria) and invest in a new one.
The sun and chlorine not only wreaks havoc on our hair, but also our skin including our lashes! But, you can reverse or combat summer damage by applying a serum to the lash line, so your lashes will be nice and lush for fall. There are many formulas out there that help protect against breakage by enhancing, conditioning and strengthening the lash including prescribed and OTC versions.
Whether you like it or not, fall is not time to take a break from shaving. Hemlines may be lower, but skirts are still in style, this time hitting just below the knee. Plus, shaving is helpful for more than just removing stubble; it actually exfoliates and with the right razor and shaving cream can help moisturize the skin. You always want to use something that has a rich lather and ingredients like vitamin E. There are razors with hydration built in which makes sexy legs possible no matter what the temperature.
Each season it’s your responsibility to switch your skincare regimen. As the seasons change, so does your skin’s needs. Try using thicker, creamier moisturizers and such to prevent dryness and dullness that tend to happen as the temperature drops.
