AAA: Gas tops $3 a gallon for 1,000 days in a row

gas-pumpA new record has been set, but it’s a record most drivers never hoped to see.

Gasoline prices have remained above $3 a gallon for 1,000 in a row.

AAA says it’s the first time that’s ever happened.

The current national average for a gallon of regular gas is $3.52.

Patrick DeHaan of website GasBuddy.com says, with the prospect of a U.S. attack on Syria diminished, gas prices could moderate.

But he says, they won’t fall below $3 a gallon.
