Good Morning, I just watched the segment on "Ask the Doctor", one of the questions was "Does Vick's Vapor rub on your feet help with cold?" Dr Rose laughed and said no and also that he has never heard of that. My comment to that is don't knock it until you try it. It actually DOES WORK!!!! The key though is you need to make sure you have socks on, do this only at night or when you are going to sleep because it helps you "sweat it out" My grandparents taught me this and my parents had me do this when I was a kid. I still do it till this day along with my children. It really DOES WORK!!
Here is another remedy you probably never heard of either but this work too. This one helps with the
congestion (it is funny but it does work also) believe it or not take an onion, slice it, grill it up, then wrap in an old towel, and put it on your chest at night. This helps break up the chest congestion. Again this is from my grandparents and my family still does it to this day. Homemade chicken soup do wonders as well. As I stated before DON'T KNOCK IT TILL YOU TRY IT!!!
