Trains have been halted on the Blue Line between the O’Hare and Rosemont stops because of a derailment.

The derailment occurred around 11:30 a.m. on the northbound tracks as the train was approaching the O’Hare station, CTA spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski.

Two people on the train were being checked at the scene for injuries but they were not expected to be taken to a hospital, according to Chicago Fire Department spokesman Will Knight said. The department had called an emergency medical services plan 1, sending at least six ambulances to the scene.

Trains were being turned around at the Rosemont station, and bus shuttle service was being set up between Rosemont and O’Hare, she said.
