The Chicago Bears kicked off their season today and there are plenty of changes for fans this year.
The NFL has new restrictions over the kinds of bags that people can bring inside the stadiums. Fans will be allowed to bring in purses, but they can’t be any larger than a clutch style purse that’s about the size of your hand. Larger clear bags are allowed, but they can only be 12″ by 6″.
The league wide policy change was in the works for awhile, but officials reacted quickly after the Boston Marathon bombings. This policy is in place at all NFL stadiums. In addition, all fans should expect to go through a security pat down and metal detectors.
Fans should also beware of fake tickets. Just last week an Englewood man has been charged with forgery after he was arrested for trying to sell someone four counterfeit Chicago Bears tickets.
The Bears will take on the Cincinnati Bengals at noon.
