Nursing home employee accused of punching resident

An employee at a retirement community in West suburban Batavia is accused of punching an 85-year old resident in the chest.

29-year old Marquita Howard-Myles is charged with felony aggravated battery.

She was working as a nursing assistant at the Clare Oaks Retirement Community.

Police were called after the incident last Thursday.

The victim apparently was okay and did not require medical treatment.
