High waves, rip current warning for Lake Michigan

If your holiday weekend plans include a swim in Lake Michigan, take extra caution, because the National Weather Service has issued a beach hazards warning.
High waves and dangerous swimming conditions are expected in Lake Michigan beginning Sunday night through Tuesday night.
There will be strong rip currents along all Illinois and Indiana beaches.

Swimmers are advised to stay out of the water.
Chicago beaches close for the season Monday night.
