Five high school athletes in southwest suburban Plano are charged with sexually assaulting teammates during several hazing incidents over the last year.

The teens, all under age of 17, appeared in juvenile court Wednesday.

Kendall County prosecutors say the hazing involved the Plano high school football and boys’ basketball teams.

The investigation started when a parent reported a child was held down in the locker room by a teammate and assaulted by another.

Police say the incidents began last August and involved three victims, but they expect more victims to come forward.
