Chicago police are searching for three suspects in a Humboldt Park home invasion that injured a man and left residents on edge.

Police say the suspects forced their way into the man’s home in the 2600 block of W Potomac at 5:45 a.m.

The 30-year-old victim was beated and the suspects stole his wallet.

The victim’s roommate awoke and chased off the suspects, according to police.

The victim was taken to the hospital but was released earlier today.

Police are looking at surveillance video that shows at least one  possible suspect fleeing the scene on foot.  A blue light camera a little further up the block may reveal more.
