Shooting at party stemmed from beer dispute

Chicago police say a dispute over beer led to a shooting at a party in the Logan Square neighborhood overnight.

Two men were shot at the party in the 1800 block of North Pulaski Avenue.

One was pronounced dead at the scene, the other is hospitalized in critical condition.

Another person was pistol-whipped and treated at the scene.

Police say it was a party amongst co-workers.

After some dispute having to do with beer, one man left and returned with a gun, then opened fire.

That man is in custody.

Charges are pending.
