The family of a college freshman who died after binge drinking at a fraternity pledge party are giving new details about the incident.

David Bogenberger, 19, was found dead last November at the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity at Northern Illinois University.

His family updated a lawsuit Wednesday with details of what they claim happened.

They say Bogenberger and 18 other pledges rapidly drank several glasses of vodka.

After the pledges passed out, fraternity and sorority members allegedly did not call for medical help, but placed buckets nearby in case they got sick.

Bogenberger was found dead the next morning.

23 fraternity members face criminal charges.
