It will take about two months to repair Chicago’s Grant Park after hosting Lollapalooza.

Parts of the block will be cordoned off as mulch and soil is replaced.

There was less damage this year, since the weather was drier.

It’ll all cost up to $300,000, but Lollapalooza promoters will be paying for it.

The field will stay closed until the Park District decides its ready to be used again.

The Park District also receives a $1.5 million “guaranteed payment,” plus other fees and reimbursements, from promoters, to use at its discretion.
