Chicago thunderstorm prospects begin rising with daytime heating Sunday and clusters of storms are predicted to roam the area from time to time Sunday night and Monday.

Cool air rides northeast winds into the Chicago area Tuesday through mid-week.  But it may be the last cool push to reach Chicago in the current cycle before a significant pattern change across North America flattens the unseasonably “wavy” jet stream pattern of the past month—a development which could signal substantive warming in the 1 to 2 week range here in the Midwest.
