A man was arrested on weapons charges after warning police he had a gun hidden between his buttocks.

Marco Alvarado, 20, told officers about the gun as they responded to reports of gunfire.

It happened in the 4300 block of North Pulaski on the city’s Northwest Side.

Police found Alvarado hiding in a car, and he told them he hid a gun down the back of his pants.

He said he fired the shots to protect a friend who was attacked by some other men.

Alvarado is being held on $20,000 bond.

  • Sick of bs

Then why wasn't a report or a phone call made to the police about the attack? Guilty. Criminals are not abiding by the law and waiting for concealed carry permits

Maybe because the police take tooooo long to arrive.
The entire US are criminals because no one abides by the laws. You got that right homey we the people are all waiting for "Concealed Handguns"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

or, maybe the the police took to long to respond because the Districts on the Northwest side have been depleted and their officers sent elsewhere, like the south and west side, and summer details on the lakefront. Remember, Chicago is a City of Few neighborhoods. Just the neighborhoods east of the River and south and west sides get attention.
