Hundreds of people took part in Chicago’s final three-day walk for breast cancer today.

The Susan G. Komen foundation is canceling next year’s walks in Chicago and six other cities.

Komen faced a huge backlash last year after it ended grants to Planned Parenthood for breast cancer services.

Today’s event kicked off at the Northbrook Court Shopping Center and ends Sunday at Soldier Field.

People are upset that the money they gave thinking it was for reseach was given to planned parenthood, not because it stopped. I for one stopped my donations.
