Students may be celebrating, while their parents are cringing, over the newly crowned party school champion.

The Princeton Review is giving that honor to the University of Iowa.

That’s according to surveys from college students.

Ironically, this comes a few weeks after Iowa released a report saying that dangerous drinking on campus is at a 20 year low.

“It just doesn’t square up with all the information we have about our students,” said University spokesman Tom Moore. “Our students are doing very well, by any measure. In terms of they graduate, they get good jobs and have very successful careers.”

“Our focus is doing what’s best for the students, we all make sure that they understand when they come how to have a great college experience,” said Moore.

The other schools in the top five are the University of California Santa Barbara, the University of Illinois, West Virginia, and Syracuse.
