Shoppers traveling to Rosemont for the grand opening of the new outlet mall can expect to save some money if they take the Tri-State Tollway there.

Officials agreed to pay for all tolls incurred by drivers at the Balmoral Avenue exit ramp just off northbound I-294.

They say it will reduce traffic congestion, and make it easier for shoppers to get to the new ‘Fashion Outlets of Chicago’.

The tolls will be free from 9 a.m. Thursday until 8 p.m. Sunday.

The move is expected to cost Rosemont around $50,000.

DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE GREAT PUBLIC TRANSIT ROUTES TO FASHION OUTLETS CHICAGO! With the new mall just steps from Metra's Rosemont station, there's an even better travel option (on weekdays only) for people who live along Metra's NCS line (Antioch, Lake Villa, Round Lake Beach, Grayslake, Prairie Crossing, Mundelein, Vernon Hills, Buffalo Grove, Wheeling and Prospect Heights. Pace is offering several bus routes and CTA's blue line is also a great option!

I have a better idea: How about no more tolls PERIOD!
These things should have been torn down DECADES AGO!
That proves to you how corrupt Illinois is!
Illinois is in financial trouble and we still have toll roads and the third highest taxes in the nation?
    Probably something everyone already knows.
Just thought I would post this as a reminder.
