Police continue search for driver in West Side hit-and-run

Chicago police are still looking for the driver of an SUV involved in a hit-and-run crash in the Medical District.

The crash happened about 2:30 a.m. near the old Cook County Hospital at Congress and Ogden Avenue.

Police said the SUV hit the taxi cab, and then one of the vehicles hit a pedestrian walking along the sidewalk.

That SUV fled the scene.

One person’s injuries left them in serious-to-critical condition, and that person was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County.

One person was taken to Rush University Medical Center in fair-to-serious condition, and one to Stroger hospital in fair-to-serious condition.

A fourth person was treated at the scene.

Police still don’t know what led up the crash.
