A four-year-old girl nearly drowned in Lake Michigan on Chicago’s North Side.

It happened just after 7 p.m. Friday at Montrose Harbor.

The girl’s parents and relatives pulled her from the water and rushed her to Weiss Hospital, where she is in critical condition.

It’s been a deadly week on the great lakes.

According to the coast guard, 15 people have died in boating and swimming accidents since last weekend.

Among those victims was Blue Island Alderman Michael Janko, who drowned Thursday near Whiting, Indiana.
