3 men wounded in Southwest side attack

Three men were shot in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood this evening, authorities said.

The attack took place about 6:20 p.m. near 63rd Street and Troy Avenue, according police and fire officials.

A 22-year-old man was taken in serious-to-critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center; a 24-year-old was taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital in fair-to-serious condition; and a 36-year-old drove himself to Holy Cross Hospital, according to the Fire Department.

Police News Affairs’ information indicated that all three men were shot, each one in one leg, in the 6300 block of South Troy Avenue, and all three were in good condition, said Police News Affairs Officer Daniel O’Brien. The 22-year-old was also at Holy Cross Hospital, according to police information.

Police had no information on how the men were shot, and had no one in custody.
