On tonight’s WGN News at Five, we went to check out the new Maker Lab at the Harold Washington Library Center. The new innovation space offers classes on how to use 3D printers, laser cutters, milling machines and more. They even have “Open Lab” hours for creatives and inventors to come into the lab and produce their work. The lab is free to use, but if you are making anything during open lab time, you have to pay for any materials you use in the process.

My feature will be posted here after it airs. For now, here’s more on the lab…
