Road partially blocked, natural gas odor reported on West Side

Chicago firefighters responded to a hazardous materials situation on the West Side on Saturday after reports of a natural gas odor were filed by people nearby.

Emergency officials responded to an area around Mayfield Avenue and Madison Street, but a check of the area could not determine any leak.

CTA re-routed their #20 Madison buses while all lanes on Madison were blocked by first responders.

No one was injured.
