Home invasion turns into sexual assault in West Rogers Park

Around 4 a.m. on the morning of June 16, Chicago police say a man broke into the home near the intersection of Albion and Fairfield in Chicago’s West Roger Park community.  Police say he got into the house by tearing the screen of the back door.  He then went into the bedroom where the victim was sleeping  and sexually assaulted her.

Police say he demanded all her money, then forced her into a closet before running away.

Police are asking those who live in the area to take extra precaution and report suspicious activity.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male between the ages of 25 and 30, 5’11-6’, with a heavy build.  Police say he has a tattoo on his right forearm and last seen wearing a black t-shirt with red accent and dark colored pants
