A major section of the Tri-State Tollway reopened to traffic Sunday at 8 a.m.

All northbound lanes of I-294 between Interstates 88 and 90 were closed at midnight Saturday, impacting drivers headed to O’Hare Airport.

Southbound lanes of the Tri-State Tollway stayed open, but with lane reductions.

Crews worked through the night to remove a bridge support beam that was damaged when a dump truck struck the overpass at Balmoral last week.

Wow that is fast work. The dump truck co. will get the bill for this repair. When this happened even the southbound traffic was delayed because of this dummy.
