Golf Gadgets: Apps, clubs, watches, and websites aim to help your game

On today’s Around Town on WGN Morning News, as well as today’s WGN News at Five, we’re featuring some of the latest gadgets and websites that can help your golf game this season. We’ll post my story here after it airs. Here is everything we’ll be talking about….

Taylor Made R1 Driver – $349.99

This driver as movable weights and an adjustable face angle, allowing you to tailor it specifically to your swing.

3Bays Swing Analyzer – $199

There are a lot of swing analyzers out there. This one attaches to the top of your club and gathers data every time you swing. It then syncs with your computer and helps you analyze every bit of your swing.

Garmin Approach S2 Watch – $249.99

This GPS watch knows when you arrive at a course. It promises to give you accurate yardage data for each shot. It’s programmed with 30,000 courses worldwide.

Ecco Biom Golf Shoe – $189.99

Golf shoes don’t have to look like golf shoes anymore. These shoes from Ecco promise the stability of a golf shoe, but a look for everyday life.

GolfSense Swing Analyzer – $129.99

Another swing analyzer, this one has a small cube that attaches to your golf glove. It syncs with your smartphone via bluetooth and shows you all of your swing data.
