Soldier from Schaumburg accidentally shot and killed by fellow soldier in Georgia

The family of a soldier shot and killed in Georgia is trying to come to terms with his accidental death allegedly at the hands of his high school friend.

23-year-old Nick Anderson of Schaumburg was killed on Memorial Day by a gunshot to the head.

His friend and army buddy 23-year old Kyle Mirochna has been charged with involuntary manslaughter.

Anderson was visiting Mirochna at his mobile home outside Fort Stewart at the time of the shooting.

Mirochna called 911 to report the incident.
