A judge in Illinois has resigned after being charged with possessing heroin.
Michael Cook served as Circuit Court Judge in St. Clair County, which is near St. Louis.
He was arrested last week at the home of an alleged heroin dealer.
He now faces drug and gun charges.
Cook was also involved in another drug-related incident in March.
He called 911 from his hunting cabin after he found a fellow judge dead in a bathroom.
That judge died from cocaine use.
Cook is scheduled to stand trial at the end of July.
