IN state trooper saves child on interstate

PoliceLights400x225An Indiana state trooper saved a child’s life on the side of a highway.

A mother reported that her two year old daughter was unresponsive, while on I80/94, in Valparaiso, Monday.

Trooper Dan Avitia responded and found them parked on the shoulder.

The girl was not breathing, and her lips were turning blue.

That’s when the trooper used CPR to revive her breathing.

The girl was then taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The mother says her daughter is on medication and recovering from an illness.
