*The Cubs are 2nd in MLB in opponents batting average at .233 and the Reds are 4th at .237.

*The Reds have won 20 of the last 25 games between these two teams, including eight straight wins in one-run games.

*It’s hard to believe, but Votto hasn’t homered against the Cubs in three years (August 28, 2010 to be exact). From 2007 through 2010, he went deep 17 times in 178 at-bats against the North Siders; since 2011, it’s no homers in 117 at-bats for Votto vs. the Cubs.
