Cubs Game Notes For Friday vs. NY Mets

* The Cubs have won 20 of their last 29 home games against the Mets dating back to the 2003 season.

* Chicago has outscored opponents by 19 runs in the first three innings this season, while the Mets have had issues with the first three innings. They are a minus 20 in the first three.

* Matt Harvey is the fourth NL pitcher since 2000 to start a season undefeated with a sub-2.00 ERA and 60+ strikeouts through eight starts. The others are Randy Johnson, Roger Clemens, and Tim Lincecum.

* New York’s .221 average this month is the Mets’ lowest in the month of May since 1985.
