On tonight’s WGN News at Five, I’m continuing the fun we had Around Town on the WGN Morning News. We went to Donley’s Wild West Town, which has been a Union, IL staple for 39 years. The cowboy-themed amusement park, museum and restaurant has a stunt show, a small roller coaster that dates back to the 1950s, gold panning for the little ones, calf roping stations and more. My video feature will be posted here after it airs. Here’s more information about the park…

Use to be called Seven Acres Antique Village and Museum. They use to have an awesome WW2 display there, and other cool stuff and monthly events like car shows and corn boils, But now its all turned to the children theme park for hokey Cowboy antics. Great for the kids but not too exciting for the grown-ups anymore.
