The warmest weather in eight months is expected across Chicagoland today.

Ample sunshine and warm south/southwest winds are forecast to push afternoon highs into the mid to upper 80s with a few spots possibly reaching 90 degrees.

It will be breezy tonight with partly cloudy skies and mild lows in the low to mid-60s.

It’s expected to stay warmer downtown with lows hanging around the 70 degree mark.

A weak cold front will slide through the area Wednesday, dropping temperatures into the low 80s in most locations.

A strong lake wind could mean temperatures along the lakefront drop into the 50s late in the afternoon.
