A Lake County Sheriff’s deputy has been accused of soliciting sex from a prostitute.

Eric Francke, 33, was charged with one count of obstruction of justice and one count of solicitation of a sexual act.

According to Mundelein police, during a routine traffic stop on April 3, where two other offenders were charged with involuntary servitude for holding a prostitute against her will, police somehow learned that Francke had also, on another occasion, solicited this same prostitute.

According to the State’s Attorney’s Office, Francke obstructed justice by deleting text messages exchanged with the prostitute. They also claim he offered “a person not his spouse, $300 to perform an act of sexual penetration.”

Francke’s bond was set at $10,000, and he was released after posting the required 10 percent.

Francke been with the sheriff’s office since September 2008. He is currently on administrative leave without pay.
