Community alert issued after South Side attack

Chicago Police issued a community alert after a runner was attacked on the South Side.

They say a man who was jogging in the Prairie Shores neighborhood was robbed and sexually assaulted by two young men.

The attack happened Friday afternoon in the 2900 block of South Vernon Avenue.

Police say one of the men grabbed the victim from behind, and placed something against his side.

Then, other attacker demanded the victim’s money and forced him to perform a sexual act.
