Police in Northern California arrested a 12-year-old boy in connection with his sister’s death.

8-year-old Leila Fowler was found stabbed in her home two weeks ago.

Investigators say she and her brother, Isaiah, were alone at the time.

He told police he saw someone leaving their house then he found his sister bleeding.

She died minutes after arriving at the hospital.

Authorities searched for the man Isaiah described to police, but never eliminated him as a suspect.

Isaiah Fowler is charged with homicide.

He will be tried as a juvenile, since California law requires a suspect to be 14 to face charges as an adult.

That means, if convicted, he could be free by 25.
