Why does WGN insist on making their stories sound like it's always the police's fault? You should be ashamed of yourselves!! If you don't have the entire story then don't print anything. I can only hope that the writers of these stories that WGN employs are in need of a police officer sometime in the near future and that the police will proceed with the utmost caution before protecting you! God forbid they let someone shoot them before they are allowed to fire their weapons. We all know that "Larry" and his dumbocrat think believes the cops are always in the wrong and the gangbangers are always the innocent!

Reading the story, I do not get the impression it was written to make the police at fault. I believe we need to support our police at all time.

Hmm, didn't get the impression by reading or watching the video that they were blaming the Cops. I'm supportive of CPD. Maybe you should re-read or listen to Robin, not Larry, report the story.

This is so sad yet pathetic that kids have ZERO respect for the police! Even more pathetic that this kid has a gun. I feel sorry for the parents that they have lost their child, but what was he doing with a gun? Where did he get it? And why just go shooting? The police did their job by protecting themselves and solving what potentially could of been a bigger issue. As a multi-gun owner, this needs to get fixed somehow. We need to figure out how he got it and fix that problem. Also, are kids so de-sensitized now that they have no clue as to what they doing? What happened to good parenting? I weep for our future!

Was the firearm recovered at the scene? These are the kinds of things that you report, not "Kid shot by cops". So you can get the story out first which is not a story.

There is no age discrimination when it comes to violent crime. This new generation of thugs needs eradicated from the streets.

The Police probably most indeed saved lives by preventing this kid from continuing his rampage.

They did what needed to be done..
