Hundreds of Lincoln Park High School students walked out of classes Friday morning, in support of several popular teaches who will lose their jobs next year.

The school let eight teachers go as it prepares to expand its International Baccalaureate program to the entire school.

Some students say the school forced the tenured teachers out, to make room for teachers who will accept a lower salary.

School officials say they’ll work with the teacher’s union to place those teachers elsewhere.
