2 planes clip each other at O’Hare

airplanesTwo planes clipped each other on a taxiway at O’Hare International Airport just after 6 p.m. Wednesday, according to the FAA.

A Lufthansa Cargo aircraft was still on the hold line on taxiway U when a LOT Passenger aircraft was trying to maneuver around it.

There were 257 passengers and a crew of 12 on board the passenger carrier. The cargo aircraft had two crews. There were no injuries on either aircraft.


The LOT plane was inspected and released for service, according to FAA spokeswoman Elizabeth Isham Cory. The Lufthansa plane was still undergoing damage assessment on Thursday, Cory said.
