1 Injured in Uptown high-rise fire

The Chicago Fire Department responded Wednesday to a high rise fire in the city’s Uptown neighborhood.

The fire was on the 7th floor of 5030 N Marine Drive.

The building was evacuated at the time of the fire.

The fire has been struck and was contained to one apartment.

One person suffered from smoke inhalation in the fire and was transported to Weiss Hospital in fair condition.
