Cubs Lose Marathon to Reds, 5-4 in 13 Innings

The Cubs gave up three runs in the 13th and lost the series opener in Cincinnati, 5-4.  Luis Valbuena hit a 2-run homer in the 13th to give the Cubs a 4-2 lead entering the bottom of the 13th, but Jay Bruce tied it with a 2 RBI double, and Cesar Izturis singled in Bruce with two outs to win it.

Travis Wood pitched well again for the Cubs, giving up two runs in six and a third innigs.
