After being closed for two days due to intense flooding and heavy rainfall, Brookfield Zoo will reopen Saturday.

Zoo officials said the animals are doing just fine. The majority of animal exhibits will reopen, but six will remain closed due to flood damage.

General admission will be free Saturday.

It’s only the third time in history Brookfield Zoo has closed. The zoo closed on Feb. 2, 2011  due to a snowstorm, and on Sept. 14, 2008, because of rainstorm damage.
