Soldier welcomed home in Warrenville

He served his country, and Saturday his friends, family and neighbors showed their gratitude.

A motorcade of supporters surprised U.S. Army Spc. Eric Rezac in Warrenville, when he returned home after nine months in Afghanistan.

Rezac earned numerous awards, including the Combat Infantry Badge.

He is headed back to his base in Washington, where he will stay until his contract is up in December.
