Southwest Side crash kills man

A man was killed when the car he was driving struck a light pole on Chicago’s Southwest Side.

It happened around 3 a.m. Saturday morning, in the 3100 block of South Western Avenue.

Police said 32-year-old Delmond Strong was driving northbound when his car veered out of control and rolled over.

He was reportedly pinned in. Paramedics found him unresponsive at the scene.

Strong was pronounced dead at the hospital.
