I-94 construction to lower speed limits, create jobs

Commuters going to and from the far north suburbs will likely face some backups in the coming months.

Interstate 94 from Highway 173 to the Wisconsin state line is undergoing a $29 million facelift.

Drivers can expect shoulder closures, reduced lanes and lower speed limits.

The governor out touting this Monday, and many other construction projects across the state, saying they’ll strengthen our transportation system and create jobs.

    This is all bullshit. There is a stretch of road in Libertyville (rt 21 and rt 137) that is almost a year into construction with another year left and the local businesses are losing revenue and jobs are beinglost so govt cronies can line their pockets.
